The CEC Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nasir, received today the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Mr. Robert Serry at the CEC’s headquarters in Ramallah.
In the meeting attended also by CEO, Hisham Kuhail, Dr. Nasir informed the UN Envoy of CEC’s latest preparations for the upcoming local elections on October 20th and discussed the requirements of making a success of the electoral process.
On his part, Mr. Serry stressed the importance of holding elections on the assigned date stated by law in a way that ensures elections integrity and transparency and expressed UN’s support to CEC’s role and work.
