The CEC resumes accreditation of journalists and observers

Today, the CEC announced that accreditation of journalists and International or local observers for the upcoming local council elections assigned on October 22 is now open.

Complete accreditation applications can be submitted to CEC’s headquarters in Ramallah , CEC’s district offices across the West Bank or online.

Through accreditation, journalists and observers obtain accreditation cards which facilitate their work and enable them to access registration/ polling centers and CEC’s media center which the commission opens on e-day.

In this context, the CEC calls upon journalists, International observers wishing to cover the upcoming elections to visit CEC’s webpage for more information on the accreditation procedures. Accreditation will close on 15 October. As for the Local observers, the dead line will be September 29th 2011.

It should be noted that accreditation cards issued in 2011 will  remain valid until the end of this year  and therefore, there is no need to submit new applications. Those who wish to change their data can contact the CEC with their updates data.
