The CEC meets with representatives of Palestinian CSOs
As part of a series of meetings with elections stakeholders in preparations for the upcoming local elections, the Central Elections Commission (CEC) met today with representatives of local Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
During the meeting, the CEC’s Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nassir confirmed the CEC’s readiness to conduct local elections on the assigned date and gave a brief of CEC’s latest preparations.
On their part, the representatives stressed on the need to develop a vision that will promote adherence to the rights of the Palestinian Citizen in accordance with the Basic Law and the importance of establishing a framework of cooperation between CSOs to ensure free and fair elections.
