The President of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, President of the Palestinian National Authority,

Having seen the Law # 5 of 1995 concerning the transference of powers and competences;
Having seen the Law # 13 of 1995 concerning the elections;
Based upon the powers bestowed in me;
I hereby promulgate the following Decree:

Article 1

The establishment of the Central Elections Commission: The Central Elections Commission shall be comprised of Mr. Mahmoud Abbas as President, and of the following as members:

1. Advocate Ali Safarini
2. Mrs. Lamis Al-Alami
3. Dr. Jabi Baramki
4. Dr. Munthir Salah
5. Advocate Tawfiq Abu Ghazaleh
6. Dr. Muhammed Ishtayeh
7. Advocate Ibrahim As-Saqqa
8. Dr. Riyadh Al-Khudari
9. Dr. Hassan Abu Libdeh

Issued in the city of Gaza on 21/12/1995 A. D., corresponding to Rajab 28, 1416 of the Hijri.
