The CEC announces the end of E-Day

20 October 2012- today the CEC announced the end of voting for the 2012 Local Elections.

The total number of voters in the West Bank reached 277153, i.e. 54.8%. The highest voting percentage was in Salfeet by 76.3% whereas the lowest was in Hebron by 47.3%.

Overall, the electoral process went smoothly without significant problems.

In another context, CEC Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nasir, announced earlier the commencement of counting of votes in all polling centers. The initial results will be published in each station upon the completion of the counting process. The preliminary results will be announced tomorrow at the CEC’s media center in Ramallah and will be published in each locality headquarter.
