The CEC decides to update the voters list In January 2007

In execution of its previous decision in its seventy fourth sessions held on 5 December, 2006, the CEC set up the detailed procedures for the updating process for the voterzzz*zs list and decided to open all registration centers in all Palestinian districts. During the past few days the CEC also finalized all plans and necessary budgets for this process.

The voterszzz*z list updating process is expected to commence in the middle of the coming January. And this annual updating process comes as part of the CECzzz*zs plan to prepare a comprehensive, accurate and updated voterszzz*z list to be used for all electoral processes, Presidential, Legislative and Local elections.

The CEC intends to conduct an extensive media campaign prior to the date assigned for the opening of the registration centers in order to explain to the public the documents necessary for the registration process and the update of registrantszzz*z information.

The updating process targets all voters whose names aren’t included in the voterszzz*z list and registered voterszzz*z wishing to update their residency information or correct their personal information.
