The CEC Commences Accreditation of Observers and Journalists

The CEC announced today the commencement of accreditation of local and international observation missions and media representatives wishing to cover the 2021 Palestinian Elections.

The CEC invited local CSOs working in democracy and human rights to submit accreditation applications as of today February, 3rd until 25 July 2021. Similar invitations were extended to embassies and foreign diplomatic missions in Palestine to submit accreditation applications as of today until 29 July 2021.  While local and international journalists may submit accreditation applications online as of today until 15 May 2021.

Through accreditation observers will obtain accreditation cards that will allow them access to registration and polling centers to monitor the transparency and integrity of the electoral processes. Journalists’ accreditation cards will grant them access to registration and polling centers, CEC facilities and media services. 

It should be indicated that the first elections stage of voter registration will be launched as of February 10th, 2021 according to the published elections calendar.
