CEC’s Clarification Regarding Nominated Lists

Content Manager

The Central Elections Commission (CEC) declared in a press release published today that at this stage it will only publish the number of lists which submitted their nominations for the 2021 legislative elections, without disclosing the lists names or the names of their candidates. Lists which disclose their names and the names of their candidates do so on their own responsibility.

The CEC added that the preliminary register of electoral lists and their candidates will be published once the nomination stage and the processing of nomination applications is over on April 6th, 2021.

The CEC explained that at the first day of nomination, the CEC received three nomination applications (one in the West Bank and two in Gaza Strip), emphasizing that it will review the applications to ensure they meet the nomination conditions stipulated by the law.
