CEC Chairman meets with the UN Middle East envoy Mr. Robert Serry

The CEC Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nasir, received today the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Mr. Robert Serry at the CEC’s headquarters in Ramallah.

Dr. Nasir informed the UN Envoy of CEC’s latest preparations for conducting general elections in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza Strip and the possible challenges the CEC may face during its work . On his part, Mr. Serry expressed support of CEC’s work and efforts in organizing elections as well as the UN’s willingness to provide the CEC with the logistical support and technical assistance needed to ensure a free and transparent elections.

At the end of the meeting which was attended by CEO, Mr. Hisham Kuhail and the electoral adviser at the UN Mr. Pascal Soto, the CEC Chairman expressed his gratefulness for the United Nations continued support for the CEC and the electoral process in Palestine.
