CEC Chairman meets with UNDP’s Special Representative

UNDP’s Special Representative of the Administrator program of assistance to the Palestinian people, Mr. Frode Mauring met with CEC Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nasir, last Thursday at CEC’s Headquarters in Ramallah to discuss CEC’s technical preparations for the General Elections, especially in occupied Jerusalem.

 

The meeting was attended by deputy of UNDP’s Special Representative of the Administrator program of assistance to the Palestinian people Mrs. Yasmine Rajasingham, team leader and senior governance advisor Mrs. Abla Amawi, Program analyst Mr.Amjad Alsharif and the CEO of Central Elections Commission Mr. Hisham Kuhail who discussed the progress on the UNDP funded project to support the CEC and the project timeline which is supposed to be completed end of the year.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Nasir thanked UNDP for their continued support to the CEC. On his part, Mr. Mauring said he was delighted at the visit and confirmed UNDP’s support of the CEC’s work and elections in Palestine.
