The CEC distributes voting cards to Jerusalem residents holding Israeli ID cards

Monday, January 23, 2006

The CEC distributes voting cards to Jerusalem residents holding Israeli ID cards. In the past three days, the CEC has distributed 6,300 voting cards to residency card distribution centers in Jerusalem. Jerusalem voters holding these cards can cast their votes in the six post offices specified by the CEC.

The CEC would like to indicate that it could not distribute more voting cards due to the limited capacity of the post offices which support 6,300 voters. Jerusalem voters who did not obtain voting cards will be able to vote in the 14 CEC-operated polling centers in the Jerusalem suburbs. The polling centers include 54 polling stations.

The CEC would like to thank all Jerusalem voters who came to receive their voting cards from the centers and apologizes for those who were not able to do so due to the abovementioned limitations.
