Al-Bireh – The Central Elections Commission (CEC) concluded today, Monday, the stage of voters’ registry exhibition and challenges, in accordance with the announced plan, launched last Saturday with the exhibition of the preliminary voters’ registry in 420 local authorities across the districts of the West Bank. In addition the preliminary voters’ registry was published online, for the first time, on its official website.

Al-Bireh – The Central Elections Commission (CEC) conducted today, Monday, a meeting with the Elections Ad Hoc Sector Working Group (SWG) comprised of representatives of donor countries and partner international organizations. The meeting aimed at discussing the latest developments related to the progress of the electoral process in terms of preparations for the 2026 Local Elections as well as the potential operational, logistical and financial challenges in the next stages.

The Central Elections Commission (CEC) invited citizens to verify their data as displayed in the voters’ registry during the exhibition and challenges stage, commencing the morning of Saturday and concluding Monday afternoon.

 Under the ongoing preparations for the 2026 Local Elections, the Central Elections Commission (CEC) conducted a series voter awareness and guidance workshops and meetings, discussing the local elections law and nomination procedures. The workshops covered the districts of Jerusalem, Hebron, Nablus, Qalqilya, Salfit and Tulkarem.
