The CEC announces the end of voter registry update for 2015

The CEC announces the end of the recent voter registration process for 2015 which commenced last Sunday in both the West Bank (WB) and Gaza strip (GS).

During the process which targeted high school students in secondary schools, a total of 58,015 were registered (32,593 in the WB and 25,422 in GS) out of 65,901.

As of next week, the retrieval of complete registration applications from the district offices will begin in preparation for application processing and data entry. It is anticipated that the final list will be finalized by end of April 2015.

The CEC takes this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed in the success of the process, particularly teachers and staff of the Ministry of Education who conducted registration in schools.

It should be indicated that registry update is an annual process conducted to ensure an accurate and up-to-date voters list ready to serve any future elections once called.
