A delegation from PACE visits the CEC today

A delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) visited the CEC’s headquarters in Ramallah today and met with CEC Chairman. Dr. Hanna Nasir.

Dr. Nasir briefed the delegation on recent CEC activities with regards to the voter registry update last February and the associated obstacles due to Israeli occupation policies.

On her part, Ms. Josette Durrieu, a member of the Senate of France and Chair of PACE Middle East sub-committee explained the role and mission of the delegation and expressed appreciation to the integrity and transparency of the work of the CEC.

The delegation included 17 senators from 12 European country representing Middle East PACE sub-committee which is a part of the Council of Europe composed of 47 European state members founded since 1949 in Strasburg- France.
