Today, the CEC Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nassir welcomed at the CEC HQ in Ramallah Dr. Luay Shabanah, President of the PCBS/Census National Director who gave thorough explanation regarding the Population Census process conducted recently.
Dr. Shabanah thanked the Commission for its cooperation with the PCBS by providing it with some of the offices and equipments during the process.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Shabanah submitted a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Nassir and the CEO Mr. Hisham Kuhail signed by Mr. President Mahmoud Abbas.
On his part, Dr. Nassir expressed the Commissionzzz*zs pride in the work and professionalism of the PCBS and stressed the importance of the statistics it provides in supporting the work of the Commission. Dr. Nassir also stressed on the importance of the Census process as a national project indicating in the same time that such support comes as a step to enhance mutual cooperation between the two sides.
Dr. Nassir also congratulated all PCBS staff and the national team for the census for announcing the preliminary results of the project despite all difficulties encountered and also expressed the Commissions readiness to provide the support needed in the future for all organizations in relation.
