The CEC renews its request for candidates and electoral lists to submit their campaign finance reports

Today, the CEC addressed letters to the candidates that ran in the district elections and representatives of the electoral lists that had recently competed the recent PLC elections reminding and demanding them to submit detailed reports for their electoral campaigns no later than February 27, 2006.

In its letter, the CEC confirmed that refraining from submitting finance reports is considered an electoral crime according to Article (105) of elections Law No. 9 of 2005.

It should be noted that the CEC had first requested candidates to submit their finance reports in its letter of February 5, 2006. The CEC has received some finance reports from a number of candidates.
