The CEC announced the commencement of accreditation of agents of nominated electoral lists for the (Second Phase) of the Local Elections. Where polling is scheduled for the 26th of March 2022.
In a press statement, the CEC clarified that agents’ accreditation applications can be received up until Sunday 20-03-2022. Every representative of an electoral list can fill an application online through the CEC’s website: (www.elections.ps), or in person to a CEC district office in the locality where the electoral list is nominated.
The CEC emphasized that an agent:
- Must be 20 years of age or older.
- Must not be an employee or hired by their locality or any security service.
- Must abide by the Agents code of conduct provided by the CEC.
Parallel to that and through its website; the CEC continues to receive local and international accreditation applications for observers, guests and journalists; to cover and observe the (Second Phase) of the Local Elections.
It is worthy of mentioning that the Local elections will be taking place on the 26th of March in 50 localities in the West Bank, according to the preliminary register of electoral lists and candidates.
