District Offices working hours extended to receive Nomination applications for the Local Elections

The CEC extended its district offices working hours to receive the nomination applications for the Local Elections. This will end on Thursday midnight; 17 February. The reason being; the immense turnout for the registration of electoral lists. 
CEC district offices will remain open in all West Bank districts to receive nomination applications until 12:00 am of that night. Which will enable all electoral lists wishing to submit their nomination applications to do so.
The nomination process began on the 8th of this month. Through electoral lists submitting their nomination applications; accompanied by the required enclosures to CEC district offices. The latter took place in localities where electoral lists wish to nominate themselves for their Local councils.  
The (Second phase) of the local elections will happen in 102 localities in the West Bank on 26/03/2022. Knowing that the number of eligible voters in these localities reached 787 thousand citizens according to the final voter’s registry.
