CEC meets with Representatives of Political Parties and continues its Outreach meetings in different Governorates

The CEC held a meeting today; Wednesday, in its headquarters at Al Bireh, with the representatives of Political parties, in conjunction with ongoing outreach meetings and workshops happening in different governorates of the West Bank.

The latter is a part of the CEC’s outreach campaign aiming at informing citizens and Political Parties about the Nomination’s conditions and procedures for the 2021 Local Elections. The Representatives received a booklet explaining the details of the Nomination process for the 2021 Local Elections. 

Alongside the above, the CEC through its West Bank district offices, held meetings and workshops in the localities where the first phase of the Elections will take place. The meetings allow interested candidates to get informed about the conditions and procedures of the nomination process and gain access to the printed materials with all the details they need.

During this day, five centralized outreach meetings took place in the following governorates: Hebron, Nablus, Jenin, Bethlehem and Tubas with the participation of: tens of citizens, local council presidents, representatives of political parties, in addition to youth and feminist organizations. Similarly, outreach meetings have been continuously happening all over the West Bank’s governorates.

It should be indicated that, the CEC publishes through its Social media platforms and website; a variety of outreach and media content emphasizing the conditions and details relating to the nomination phase. As well as motivating citizens to participate in the Electoral process, especially youth, women and persons with disabilities. The CEC ensures that its printed and televised materials are designed to meet the needs of persons with disabilities; including the use of Braille, and sign language translation to all of its official videos. 

As the launch of the Nomination phase approaches; this upcoming Tuesday, the CEC will accordingly launch an informative media campaign through local newspapers, radio and TV stations, in addition to social media outlets. The CEC will also increase the number of its outreach meetings in various governorates to ensure answering any inquiries and questions, which are also received through its various social media outlets. Additionally, the toll-free number: (1800300400) is provided for the exact same reason.
