CEC Chairman Meets with the representative of Denmark

CEC Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nasir, met today with the representative of Denmark in Palestine; Mr. Ketel Carlsen and his deputy Ms. Bodil Pedersen.
During the meeting held in the Commission's headquarters in al Bireh, Dr. Nasir informed the Danish representatives of the latest updates regarding the CEC’s preparations for the 2021 Local Elections (Phase one) with its polling day being scheduled for December 11, 2021. 
He also indicated that the first stage of the electoral process; registration, exhibition and challenge will be launching on the 3rd of the upcoming month and will last for 5 days. Noting the possible difficulties facing the electoral process, specifically the ones relating to the practices of the occupation. 
The Chairman emphasized the importance and presence of local and international observation delegations to oversee the electoral process and ensure its integrity. Calling on Denmark to participate in observing the upcoming local Elections.
