The Central Elections Commission (CEC) hosted the meeting of “National Spatial Data Infrastructure” project working committee, attended by representatives and specialists in the area of maps and geographical data from all Ministries, local organizations, and interested private sector companies. The meeting aims to establish a national system for maps and a database for the geospatial information systems in Palestine, to organize the collection, sharing and development of this information and data, prevent repetition and organize access permissions for organizations and individuals.

The Chairman of the Central Elections Commission, Dr. Rami Hamdallah, received today H.E. Minister of Local Government, Dr. Sami Hijjawi, at CEC’s HQ in Al-Bireh, in the presence of CEC’s CEO, Ashraf Al-Shuaibi.
