The Central Elections Commission (CEC) received yesterday the Cabinet decision issued on September 6th, 2021 which sets the date of the first phase of the 2021 local council elections on December 11th.  
 

CEC Chairman, Hanna Nasir, received today the Representative of Germany to Palestine, Oliver Owcza, at CEC headquarters in Al-Bireh.
 

Following the meeting held in the presidential quarters in Ramallah last night, and pursuant to the decision of the Palestinian leadership to postpone the General Elections, the CEC declares stopping the electoral process as of Friday morning
