The CEC extended its district offices working hours to receive the nomination applications for the Local Elections. This will end on Thursday midnight; 17 February. The reason being; the immense turnout for the registration of electoral lists. 

The CEC announced the commencement of the Nomination period for the (Second Phase) of the Local Elections. It will last for 10 days starting today; Tuesday and ending on Thursday 17/02/2022

Following after the updating of the Voter’s Registry during the Registration, Exhibition and Challenge period, which happened last January; The CEC published today; Sunday, the data for the final voter’s registry for the (Second Phase) of the local Elections. 

The CEC held today; Wednesday a meeting for the representatives of political parties and factions, to keep them updated of the latest procedural developments regarding the (Second Phase) of the Local Elections.
