The CEC welcomes Hamas position on Local Elections

The CEC welcomes the statement issued by Hamas Movement this morning by which, the movement stressed’’ the importance and necessity of holding Local Council Elections in the West Bank (WB) and Gaza Strip (GS), and its readiness to work for the success of these elections and facilitate them’’, in accordance with the decision of the Nation Reconciliation Government which sets the date of elections on October 8th in all districts of the WB and GS.

A delegation from the CEC headed by Chairman, Dr. Hanna Nasir will be heading to GS Sunday morning to meet with the political parties and factions and brief them on elections preparations.
