The CEC meets with representatives of partner CSOs

The Central Elections Commission (CEC) met today with representatives of CSOs who will be taking part in the project ‘’ enhancing women political participation in elections’’ which will be implemented as of next month in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The meeting which was held in Ramallah and attended by representatives of partner CSOs, women organizations, local councils and government institutions discussed the project activities and partner organizations’ plans which will be developed as part of the project in relation to supporting women political participation.

The project is funded by the Government of Norway and will include implementing 3 centralized training workshops for women activists followed by 38 decentralized workshops on women political participation. In addition, the project will cooperate with media organizations in launching a media campaign to encourage women electoral participation and the production of various TV episodes highlighting issues and challenges facing women electoral participation.
