Objections to nomination is now concluded

Today, the CEC announced the completion of the objection to nomination phase which commenced last Sunday, April 28th.

During the three day period, the CEC received twelve objections against the nomination of lists and candidates in two localities. After review, the CEC decided to decline all objections. However, CEC decisions may still be appealed before competent courts within the legal timeline specified in the law.

It should be indicated that second complementary elections is scheduled on Saturday, June 1st and is preceded by election campaigning activities.
