The CEC Provides technical assistance to the Tunisian electoral commission

4 August, Ramallah -  in the context of cooperation  between the two commissions,  a delegation from the Central Elections Commission (CEC)  Headed by the Director of  IT department, visited the Tunisian High Independent Elections Commission to assist in developing  a software for the accreditation of elections observers  to be used in the upcoming Tunisian elections on 23 October 2011.
 

The one week visit aimed at assisting the Tunisian commission in designing  a software for the accreditation of elections observers  and identifying the required programs, hardware  and infrastructure needed to establish an IT department at the Tunisian Commission.
 

  During the visit,  the CEC delegation met with the assistant head of commission who welcomed CEC’s efforts  on the local and regional levels.
 

It should be indicate that the CEC has previously shared expertise  with elections commissions in Jordan and Lebanon, particularly in the field of elections training.
