The CEC commenced the process of paying out the salaries for the polling staff who worked during the latest PLC elections

The paying out of the salaries for the polling staff who worked for the CEC during the latest PLC elections continues through the post offices located in all governorates. Earlier, the employees received their salary sheets from the CEC district offices.

The employees started receiving their salaries from the post offices on Saturday, August 5, 2006 .By Tuesday, over 17,540 employees received their salaries. (I.e., 89% of the total number of polling staff).

The employees will continue receiving their salaries until September 7, 2006 through the post offices. Those who haven’t received their salary sheets may refer to the CEC district offices from Saturday through Wednesday.
