The CEC trains polling and counting staff

The Central Elections Commission (CEC) completed today the training of polling and counting staff in preparations for the re-run local election scheduled on 22 September 2018.

Over two days, the CEC conducted 5 decentralized training workshops, one day each, targeting 111 polling and counting staff who will be working in 8 polling and counting centers in 5 localities.

In addition to polling and counting procedures, the training included a simulation to the electoral process where participants received training on how to deal with all electoral stakeholders of voters, candidates, observers, journalists and guests according to the codes of conduct and how to handle complaints.

It should be indicated that re-run elections will be held in the 5 localities of Al-Mazra Al Sharqiyeh, Birzeit, Qira, Azzoun Atemeh and Silet Al_Daher in the West Bank.
