The CEC completed today the voter registration drive which commenced last Sunday and targeted High school students who reached the legal age of registration (17 years or above) in all districts of the west Bank and Gaza Strip.
During this operation the CEC registered a total of 56,678students out of 67,924 students in both the WB and GS in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
In the coming days, the CEC will progress in entering and processing of registration data through the Data Entry Center in Al-Bireh. The final registration numbers and total registration percentages are expected to be announced within six weeks.
It should be indicated that registration is a periodic technical operation the CEC performs annually to ensure an accurate and up-to date voters’ registry.
