The CEC holds a workshop to evaluate the project “Support to the CEC’’

Today, the CEC held a workshop in Al-Bireh to evaluate the project” Support to the Central elections Commission (CEC) funded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The workshop was attended by CEO, Mr. Hisham Kuhail, Mr. Amjad Sharif from UNDP, representatives of CSOs, political parties and journalists.

Mr. Kuhail opened the session by extending thanks to those responsible for the success of the project and explained its outputs. A documentary about the CEC and its role through all election phases was displayed during the workshop as well.

On his part, Mr. Sharif confirmed UNDPs interest in supporting the CEC and its projects. Following discussions provided participants’ feedback on implemented activities and their relation with the CEC and stressed the importance of having a constant open channel of communication with the Commission and providing electoral awareness targeting marginalized segments of society such as youth, women and those of special needs.
