On Monday, August 24, Central Elections Commission Chief Electoral Officer, Mr. Hisham Kuhail and Deputy CEO, Mr. Ashraf Shuaibi, met with the acting Representative of Japan to the Palestinian Authority, Mr. Hideaki Yamamoto.

The CEC representatives presented Mr. Yamamoto with a summary of CEC activities, projects, and plans.  They also discussed future possibilities for the Japanese Representative Office to support the CEC.

Mr. Yamamoto acknowledged the importance of the CEC in implementing free and fair elections.  All agreed to continue communication and cooperation.
