The CEC conducted a training course in Ramallah as part of the project “ Capacity Building of Election Cadre” in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and funded by the Norwegian Government. The training was conducted over a period of four days, for 35 of the Ministry’s employees.

The training course discussed the basics of successful training , Palestinian elections laws , electoral systems in general and the electoral system in Palestine in particular , different phases of the electoral process , allocation of  PLC seats and proclamation of results.

The participants received certificates which were handed out by Mr. Hisham Kuhail (CEC Chief Electoral Officer) and Mr. Deeb Haddad (Head of Ramallah Education Directorate). Mr. Kuhail appreciated the Ministry’s cooperation with the CEC  and the trainers distinguished performance.

The CEC will continue this project for 8 weeks and conduct 10 more courses throughout the West Bank. In total 300 of the Ministry’s employees will be trained.
