Meetings of the CEC are presided over by the Chairman in order to discuss the organization’s various issues, its administration and elections preparations.

The Chief Electoral Officer attends these meeting in order to brief the Commission on daily operations and present draft resolutions on regulations, procedures and other electoral affairs that need the decision of the Commission.

Due to the lack of geographic contiguity and restrictions on freedom of movement between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, the sessions take place at both the CEC headquarters in Ramallah and its regional office in Gaza and are linked via video conferencing equipment.
