Following a decision from the Cabinet issued on February 8, 2010 calling for the 2010 Local Council Elections to be held on July 17, 2010, the CEC announces the legal timeline for all electoral procedures, based on the Local Council Elections Law No. 10 of 2005:

The CEC is now accepting applications for accreditation from media representatives who wish to cover the 2010 Local Elections. As the independent administrator of Palestinian elections, the CEC is committed to openness and encourages the participation of the media in the upcoming elections.
Media representatives will receive accreditation to cover all electoral activities, beginning with voter registration and ending with the announcement of results.

Local and international media outlets, journalists, photographers and camera-people are encouraged to apply electronically:

Alternatively, you may download the application form and submit it to the CEC’s headquarters in Ramallah. There are two forms:

Picking up your accreditation card
Once you are notified that your card is ready, you may pick it up at the CEC’s headquarters in Ramallah. Alternatively, if you would like someone other than yourself to pick up your media accreditation card, please fill out the following form and have your designated pick-up person bring it with him/her:
